Light On The Wallet, Heavy on Chic

Salon Ziba is celebrating 20 years in business this month and while the economy has fluctuated during these two decades, the folks at Salon Ziba continue to deliver style and beauty services at quite the affordable prices. The salon on West 57th Street has grown from its original 1,500 square feet to triple its size in order to accommodate their loyal clientele, many of which are celebrities. The international staff reflects the many services offered at this location, including Brazilian Keratin treatments, Japanese Thermal straightening, Balayage highlights, and innovative techniques for hair extension and color applications.

The décor in the salon changed in 2005 during an expansion and renovation. The modern and sleek feel is divided into two floors. While the first floor still hosts most of the quick service technicians, where walk-ins are always welcome, the second floor is home to the L’oreal Color Center where Master Technicians provide the most up to date color and cuts. There are also estheticians that deliver healing facials, depilatory, and nail services.

Salon Ziba was voted one of the 100 hottest salons in America in Beauty Entertainment, the salon people magazine. And we can see why: the number of satisfied clients reads like a roster of who is who of the New York scene. Clients include Adriana Lima, model; Deepak Chopra, spiritual guru; Pamela Fiori, editor; Lynn Redgrave, actress; Rita Cosby, journalist, among many others.
The salon will be celebrating this twenty-year milestone with unbeatable offers in their 20/20/20 campaign. Starting in December 2009 and continuing thru November 2010, every 20th of the month, select services will only be $20. “Salon Ziba opened its doors following the recession of the late 80’s, delivering great value and style” says owner Alonso Salguero who has been at the helm of the salon since then. “Our salon was positioned to deliver professional services without sacrificing style or budgets in one of the best neighborhoods in town. This aspect continues to be very relevant today,” says Salguero.
